The secrets to better attacks! 🤫

Tip of the day

Top players know when to attack and where to accurately place their shots when attacking.

For right-handed players, the primary attack spot is their opponent’s right hip, aiming to jam the opponent or make them reach.

The secondary spots are the left hip and the high right shoulder.

When attacking, it's essential to anticipate the ball's return and be ready for a counterattack.

Remember, the goal of a speed-up shot isn't to win instantly but to set up a better shot that will allow you to win the point easily.

Key Points:

  • Attack accurately by targeting specific spots, not just hitting the ball hard.

  • For right-handers: the primary target is your opponent’s right hip; secondary targets are their left hip and right shoulder.

  • Speed-up shots are meant to set up advantageous positions, not immediate wins. They’re set-up shots!

  • Always be prepared for the ball to be countered back to you after an attack.
