How to hit a 3rd Shot Drop like a pro by High Five Pickleball
Adam Richards from High Five Pickleball teaches how to hit a topspin 3rd shot drop.
This shot makes the ball spin forward, causing it to dip under the net quickly. Topspin 3rd shot drops are harder for opponents to read and defend against. They bounce differently, making them less likely to be attacked.
You need good positioning, a low-to-high swing motion, and to brush up on the ball to hit this shot. The focus should be on creating as much as spin on the ball with your paddle as possible, not power.

Key Points:
Topspin 3rd shot drops dip quickly and are harder for opponents to read.
Good positioning is crucial: stand behind the ball and ensure it's in the right distance (Goldilocks zone).
Use a low-to-high swing and brush up on the bottom of the ball.
Different grips can add spin, but a continental grip is used in the video.
After hitting, advance to the non-volley zone quickly as the topspin shot dips faster.
