Why beginners don't improve 😢
Tip of the day
The Pickleball Playbook Rackets highlights three major mistakes beginners often make in pickleball.
First, beginners lack purpose in their strokes, especially in dinking and dropping, not realizing these are strategic setup shots (not winners!).
The video explains that dinking should keep balls low and unattackable, while dropping helps transition from defense to offense.
Second, beginners struggle with court positioning. They fail to effectively cover gaps and follow the ball in relation to their partner.
Lastly, beginners avoid playing with stronger players and neglect working on their weaknesses, such as the backhand.
This leads to missed learning opportunities. Winning is not always good!
